Comment Policy
Like nearly every author ever, I love to hear from my readers! I welcome comments on both my fiction and scholarly work. I've also enabled threaded comments, so readers, feel free to chat with each other as well as with me.
In order to keep this a safe and friendly place for all, commenters are expected to follow these rules:
- Respect is given freely to all. Me, you, other commenters. You do not have to like my work or agree with my ideas, but there is a way to express that constructively. Civility and kindness are the minimum. (I'm going to be even stricter with this when replying to others who aren't me, whose thick skin hasn't necessarily been tempered by ten years of teaching teenagers.)
- Anything that smells even faintly of the fallacy that certain groups of people are inferior to other groups of people will be deleted. If you think that makes me a humorless, PC censor, then I'm happy to play that role for you.
A Special Note on Fiction: Fiction that I post here is finished. I'm not going to tell anyone that constructive criticism isn't allowed. I will tell you that it's highly unlikely to be used, so your efforts are better spent volunteering as a beta for an author who would use the feedback.
